On Saturday, November 23, 2024, the traditional Pilgrimage of the Men from Loučka to Holy Hostýn took place.

About 90 brave men participated in the pilgrimage through the snowy landscape, embarking on a nearly 40-kilometer journey to the Virgin Mary.

The pilgrims dedicated their journey to the intentions of the parishioners, which could be submitted at the churches of the Újezd and Dolní Lhoty parishes.

The pilgrimage ended with a holy mass with Father Tomáš Strogan.

On Sunday, the pilgrims participated in holy masses and a communal Stations of the Cross.

On the occasion of the Jubilee Year 2025, the dioceses of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia will hold a joint National Pilgrimage to Rome from March 28 to 30. The number of participants in the first extraordinary group from the Czech Republic is already fully booked due to the limited capacity of some Roman basilicas. Only for pilgrims from the Litoměřice diocese, it is still possible to register through CK Křížek. Below we provide more practical information for pilgrims and travel agencies.

The Jubilee or Holy Year is celebrated every 25 years. The Holy Year 2025 will begin with the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican on December 24, 2024, and will conclude with the closing of this door on January 6, 2026, at the Feast of the Epiphany.

The Holy Year was first celebrated in the year 1300. The proper celebration of Holy Years has been established since 1450 to occur every 25 years. The Holy Year 2025 follows the Great Jubilee of the Holy Year 2000, and the Holy Year 2025 is the 25th ordinary universal jubilee in the history of the Catholic Church. The organizing of the Jubilee 2025 has been entrusted to the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization at the request of Pope Francis.

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, a spiritual retreat for women took place with MUDr. Daniela Hrtúsová, on the topic of Living in God's Will.

MUDr. Daniela Hrtúsová, by profession a doctor, works as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. For many years, she has been interested in inner healing and a holistic approach to the person in spirit, soul, and body as revealed in the Bible.

At the press conference on October 28, Archbishop Rino Fisichella officially presented the mascot of the Jubilee 2025, "Luce".

On Friday, November 1st, it is the Feast of All Saints - a recommended solemn feast. The masses will be:

• Slopné at 5:00 PM and afterwards we will pray at the memorial to the fallen
• Újezd at 6:30 PM

On Sunday, October 27th, we celebrate the anniversary of the consecration of the church - Újezdské hody.

The holy mass will be at 9:40 AM.

As part of the Jubilee Year, a Jubilee for teenagers will take place in Rome from April 25 to April 27, 2025. The event is intended for young people aged 12 to 17. Groups of young people with an adult chaperone can register until January 20, 2025.

On Friday, October 25th, there will be a Day of Adoration in Újezd from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM, when there will be a closing prayer and blessing.
